Le GRAND PARTAGE (The big Share)

Shared pleasures of conversation, thought, and… food!

What an event! What wonderful encounters! A magnificent evening that was both entertaining and enriching!

Testimonials abounded following this sharing event, where citizens and guest artists were able to exchange ideas over a potluck meal. The entire evening alternated between readings and musical performances, all topped off with a dance floor!

Each participant brought a dish to share, and people were seated randomly, accompanied by two artists—an author, actor, or musician. We got to know each other, presented our dishes, and began to eat.

Writer and actor Robert Lalonde hosted the gathering and asked one of the guest artists to come on stage and deliver a short text (or song), chosen in advance on the theme of hope, happiness, or pleasure. Then the meal continued, and 20 minutes later, another artist was invited to present their text, music, or song.

The aim of this event was to encourage discovery and interaction between people, while giving lesser-known artists the chance to be heard alongside more famous ones. The topics of conversation varied from table to table, much to the delight of the guests.

To bring the evening to a joyful close, many guests took to the dance floor to the sound of lively music and rhythms.

At the end of the gathering, everyone agreed on how much they enjoyed meeting new people, the quality of the performances, and the pleasure of sharing a convivial evening rich in tastings and discoveries.

Organized by Arts-Cultures Massawippi, this event took place on Friday evening, November 7, 2025, at the Canton-de-Hatley community hall.
