The shared pleasures of talking, thinking and … eating !

A get-together where citizens and a dozen artists share a pot-luck meal with readings and song-music, followed by an evening of dancing!

Each participant brings a dish to share (allergy sufferers are asked to bring their own food) and will be directed at a random table with 2 artists – author, actor or musician. We get to know each other, share the food and start eating.

Throughout the meal, at the host’s signal, one or other of the guest artists, both well-known and lesser-known, is asked to stand in the center of the large U formed by the tables and deliver a short text (or song) chosen in advance on the theme of hope – maximum duration 5 minutes. Everyone stops eating to listen.

Then the meal continues, and after 20 minutes, another artist is invited to present his or her text or song. Among these artists, 5 will have been selected by a committee of experts (see details below).

To bring the event to a convivial close, we all dance together to lively music.

The aim is severalfold: discovery and exchange between citizens and artists, the opportunity for lesser-known artists to be heard alongside established artists, the pleasure of tasting each other’s dishes and discussing the presentations chosen by the artists, and, to round things off, the joy of dancing together.

This event is for anyone who wants to meet new people, share ideas on the subjects addressed by the artists, discover and rub shoulders with artists, enjoy discovering the dishes of other guests at the table, and finish off with the joy of dancing to the beat of live music.
