The acclaimed show Mon voyage en Amérique
An emotional story with actress Pascale Montpetit – an intimate afternoon in which she recounts a little-known and fascinating aspect of the life of Kim Yaroshevskaya (our national Fanfreluche !).
In a colorful text, the famous Fanfreluche recounts her early childhood and the exile that took her from her native Russia to America, first to the United States and then to Montreal, where she settled permanently. Over the years, the young Kim discovered her taste for the theater, developed her talent and created the character of Fanfreluche, who has accompanied several generations of young Quebecers on stage and television.
Simply seated in front of the audience, without scenery or staging, actress Pascale Montpetit displays a dazzling talent: her voice and gestures bring the young Kim to life, reflecting a whole range of emotions, from playful humor to the most profound sadness. As the text unfolds, it’s as if we’re watching Kim herself – living, acting, reminiscing, reflecting and growing old before our very eyes!
This performance took place on Sunday, July 28, 2024, in the mezzanine of Théâtre Piggery, North Hatley.
