The photo contest on the theme of attachment to and appreciation of the Massawippi Valley territory ended with a bang: from among a magnificent harvest of photos submitted by amateurs and professionals alike, the five jurors succeeded in identifying NINE winning photos. These magnificent works were framed and exhibited at Pub Vilandré in North Hatley from September 26 to October 25.
The unveiling of the winning photos and presentation of the prizes took place in a warm atmosphere on September 25, at Pub Vilandré, in the presence of a large and enthusiastic audience, made up of dignitaries or their representatives, donors, several contest participants, the winners accompanied by friends or family members, and several members of Arts-Cultures Massawippi.
A total of $1,500 was distributed among the nine winners, divided into three categories: young people aged 18 and under, adults aged 19 to 55, and seniors aged 55 and over.

2nd prize : Marie LEFEBVRE / children running in a field – Hatley Township
3rd prize: Gabriel LEFEBVRE / profile of a friend at the North Hatley municipal beach

2nd prize: Yoan LEFEBVRE / winter swimming in North Hatley
3rd prize: Isabelle AUBUT / one-night stand on Lake Massawippi

1st prize: Yves GUILLOT / a blue egret on the Massawippi River
2nd prize: Marcel HOULE / footbridge and buildings – North Hatley’s iconic landscape
3rd prize: John GRONAN / winter scene after a snowstorm
The unveiling of this award-winning photo gallery impressed the audience with its diversity and the quality of the works submitted, particularly those by very young photographers. The talent and perception of both young and old proved to be a delight.
