Concert by the QUATUOR ERRANT
On the evening of November 15, 2025, the small St. Barnabas Church in North Hatley came alive with the sound of truly unusual music in a unique concert designed especially for the occasion.
The Quatuor Errant created a concert especially for Arts-Cultures Massawippi so that the audience could discover medieval instruments in the digital age and surprising and fascinating music.
The result was a special event marked by a variety of discoveries and musical delights.
The Quatuor Errant is made up of four virtuosos at the peak of their art!
Four performers who reclaim the creative power of the composer and the nuances of their varied backgrounds, without forgetting the rich history of the music and instruments they play. The results are wonderful!
Liselyn Adams – flutes, bells
Marie Marceau – flutes, bagpipes, vocals
Alex Kehler – baroque violin, nyckelharpa, cittern, hurdy-gurdy
Joel Kerr – double bass, electronic sounds and sound drawings
The audience marveled at the medieval and more modern instruments and was thrilled by the music—ancient, traditional, improvised, and contemporary—with chords and harmonies that merged, mingled, and responded to each other in a fascinating dialogue.
